One With Him

How close are we with the Spirit of our Lord Jesus? When we give our wills over to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to purify our thoughts we are drawn to walk in heavenly places and perform heavenly deeds in our ordinary everyday life. I believe it is the Father's will for us to walk in signs and wonders that draw souls into His kingdom.

John 6: 28-29
Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

My understanding of that verse is that if we believe in Jesus we also believe what he has taught us. That includes laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover. Just as the lady with the issue of blood just touched his garments, just as the clothing of Paul healed we too have the same Holy Spirit that lives within. We too have the authority and power because of He who lives within.

John the Baptist was sent as a forerunner to Jesus, testifying to the revelation of the Son of God. Then the Son came with the power of the Holy Spirit to reveal faith. Now the living God has chosen us to do likewise. The power is not of us but of God who lives within us. We should be so ONE with the Holy Spirit that others and sometimes we do not recognize where we end and He begins.

Philippians 3:20-21
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

So my friends do not justify or defend either your faith or your presentation. For the Lord our God is our witness, judge, and vindicator. May we all take heed to that Written Word of God so that no one falls short of His Grace. Be all the glory to Him whom we adore and love.

Smith Wigglesworth once said, "My Lord help us be true to God first, then if we are true to God we will be true to ourselves. Let God be our first choice of our desires and our plans."

Let these words go deep into our soul. May God transform us into the magnets that lead others to Christ!

Vacation

Vacation is a time for the world to go away-a time for life as we know it to stop! Suddenly we snap into a deep inner peace. Some may recognize it as being bored! You can almost feel your nerves snap, pop, and then uncoil into a relaxed state.

Isaiah. 30:15.
There's something invigorating and renewing about retreating to a quiet place of rest and peace.

It is a time to be vacant to the hassle and bustle affairs of life and its tragedies and instead to be present to the chirping of birds and the slapping of the ocean's presence. If you find yourself being bored, be reminded that you have entered a place of serenity. Go with it-allow nature and the most Holy One enter in and bring you to a place of healing. Reach out to the One who has created the universe and listen to the treasures He is speaking all around you. He will refresh your soul and strengthen your inner being.

Now you will be ready to go back to your life responsibilities and its hectic swirl once again. Remember you can return to this serenity of bliss at any moment. Just recall and sense as the creator of all allows your imagination to bring you back even if it is just for a couple of minutes-the Holy Spirit can do it for you! You can come back at any given time to be restored, renewed, and refreshed in His presence that you host within.

For He tells us "Be still and Know that I am God", " I am your redeemer and can redeem your time", "I am your healer, your peace maker, your comforter and your restorer and guide"

These are only a few of God's divine attributes displayed for you. All out of the Love He has for you. So enjoy your vacation and have an encounter of the Lover of your soul.

Dilemma

A couple of weeks ago I had been troubled with allergy symptoms-headache, post nasal drip, and even sore throat. I felt as if I was backed into a corner and I began to take an antihistamine. I say backed into a corner because I know that the anointing of Jesus could have healed me. And that thinking took me into these plaguing questions: Where is my faith? Have I sinned? But I cannot repent-because I know if I tried to stop taking the pill I would end up with the symptoms again and so I begin taking medicine once again. Now is that sin?

Those thoughts troubled me, so I shared them with my husband, Dick. And he dismissed it simply by saying "Taking medicine is not sin!" Then I shared it with some gals I pray with here in KY. They encouraged me to continue taking the meds until the healing of the Lord presented itself.

I truly felt that I was grieving the Holy Spirit. If I stopped using the pills I knew I would go back on them again. "Feeling really sorry for sin is not enough-repentance is necessary" So was this sin? I told myself "Repent and sin no more" Taking a pill is NOT sin. Thank you, Jesus for that practical word. It healed my heart and set me straight.

Can you see the dilemma? It was the thought I had. I had to submit those to the Holy Spirit tutelage. The Holy Spirit will take care of my heart and lead me into all truth chasing away fear of disobedience and fear of sin. For I know perfect love cast out all fear and sin alike.

Then the Holy Spirit began to show me that when His voice speaks it liberates our souls. He brings fruit and holiness and peace. When the Holy Spirit speaks, life begins to bubble up with Joy and gladness. It lifts us to a higher place. Up to Zion-the place where the Lord dwells!

Those thoughts of mine did no such thing. How about your thoughts? Bring them into the accountability of two or three witnesses and submit them to the Holy Spirit. Right thinking will occur because He is able and we are willing.

This morning I say Thank you Holy One for teaching me to test the "voices", the thoughts that plaque my mind. Thoughts or spoken words that bring sadness condemnation and captivity do not come from the throne of Jesus. We expose them to the Light of Jesus to be dealt with. He is faithful to fill the void with His steadfast love!

So when the spoken word goes forth or thoughts begin to trouble your spirit test and see whether they are from God or satan! Then BELIEVE the one who saved us, Lord Jesus. Keep your heart and mind on Christ Jesus.

As a Man Thinks So is He

It is a great statement. Yes, it came from the Bible and another thought it was great so he wrote a book about it. His name was James Allen.

Today I would like to remind you that as you think so you are also. There are times in my life when I get not so good thoughts. Some are of fear or are fear leading! Some might come in dreams tempting me to sin. Some thoughts are about not thinking good of me or being judgmental to others. The list goes on and you may as well jump right in with your nasty thoughts as well. Got them out? Did you write them down? If so burn them and think upon this:

When we are pure in heart we only think about pure things. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:8) When I find that my peace has been disturbed in any way, and thoughts come flooding into my soul, I detect that it is the enemy trying to take me from that perfect will of my Father. Ah, the Lord Jesus has promised me and you that to keep our mind in perfect peace we need to be focused on Him. (Isaiah 26:3).

In Romans 12:1 Paul reminds us to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God as that is our service to Him. Then in the next verse I believe the Holy Spirit spoke though Paul when he taught us not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what is the perfect will of God.

So my encouragement to you this day is the same to myself: Whatever is true, noble, and just, whatever is pure and lovely, whatever is a good report, and whatever is virtuous and worthy of praise meditate on Take out that list you have been compiling-the list of the Good God has done for you and through you. Think on those things. If you do not have a list, begin today starting with the day Jesus became your friend, lover of your soul, and your Lord and Savior! Begin with the grace He has given you to repel evil and do good.

For He and He alone is our comfort, our shelter, and our right guard! In Him all things are possible! Believe and see how Good He is! Those negative thoughts will vanish and the new man will arise!

Blessings, Dianne
