Colossians 3:15 NLT
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

When we speak of peace we may think of world peace and everyone getting along and how impossible that seems to be. But this scripture speaks to the peace we should be feeling inside. No matter what the circumstances of life we find ourselves immeshed in we can have that inner peace.

This is a peace that goes beyond all understanding. And that can only come from a personal relationship with God that begins with a commitment to follow Jesus. It is a commitment to ask Him to be our Lord and savior. When that occurs Father God sends the Holy Spirit to live in us. He is our comforter and the source of all we need as we walk out the rest of this life on earth.

We can choose to live wrapped up in the turmoil all around us. Or we can choose to seek peace within as we listen to the Holy Spirit and are thankful for all God does for us. I choose Jesus. I choose peace.

Roller Coaster Ride

The last two years have been just that. My mind and emotions riding the terrors of cancer and my body screaming for resolve.

At one time I would tell myself to find the eye of the storm and stay there. There it is quiet and peaceful. There is rest in the eye of the storm.

Now I realize it is not the calm of the eye that is healing it is retreating and living out of my spirit man. There I am the true woman God made me to be. There lies my inner belief system in Christ and there is the secret to my healing.

At times reading and quoting scripture seems to be meaningless for my mind and emotions. Thank God for the years of laying hands on the sick and digging into the Holy one for security and peace. Nothing on the outside remains in truth. But the inside is stable and knows the truth.

I share this today to nudge others back to their spirit man and the reality of the Word of God. For He is faithful to finish the work He has begun in you and me. It is for each of us to work it out and to walk it out in our spirit man through meditation on the Word and listening and obeying His lead.

Pray with me today.

"Lord thank you for this opportunity to repent. Thank you for procuring the promise of life for my body, mind, and spirit. Today, Lord, I am yours and you are mine. I will position myself to receive all that you have for me. In Jesus name, I pray."

The Butterfly

It all started with the idea of painting a butterfly. At the beginning of the cancer journey a friend of mine prophesied over me proclaiming new life. She saw hundreds of butterflies around me. That could have been the catalyst for the idea of painting a butterfly.

This year our eight year old granddaughter got an idea in her mind to do a school project on a butterfly. She began her research on butterflies that ended up with her collecting caterpillars and those in cocoons as well. One gave birth to a beautiful butterfly.

Well I finished my painting and sent a picture to her dad. She called me and told me that the butterfly I painted was the same kind that came out of the cocoon she had in captivity. It was a Monarch butterfly. It was a beautiful and colorful butterfly and we both had one.

So I take hold of this divine timing believing Lord you are speaking life into me; into my body, mind and spirit. Life is breathing upon me.

It Takes Belief

The peace of God will guard my heart and mind while I'm in Christ Jesus. Peace brings about His joy. The Joy of the Lord is my strength and it is yours as well.

Have you ever noticed Gods will manifest in our bodies minds and emotions? Have you seen it? Have you experienced a miracle? Well I have had one and if you know me you have seen a walking miracle!

All it takes is belief. Belief on the part of the person involved. You could be the believing person even if you are not the receiver of the miracle. However it takes relationship with the divine Kingdom to sustain that miracle. It took me a year washing my mind with His Word to continue to build my strength.

Today there is no difference. I need to do my part. Jesus already did His. I am grabbing a hold of my healing and going to believe He will finish the task that man cannot.

"Lord, today we come to you as believers in the word knowing Your will is yes! I am healed. Yes I'm ready to receive and serve in Your Kingdom. Today is the day You have made perfectly designed with Your will in mind. Today Lord we forgive ourselves as you have already forgiven us. Hold us fast to your will and your ways. Help us Lord with our unbelief and double mindedness. In Jesus name we pray."

Co-laboring with God

Did you know that the Lord wants to co-labor with us? He wants to work each of us individually to reach others for His Kingdom.

One of the most fulfilling times in my life was when I co-labored with one our sons at his place of business. It was easy to work for him because he allowed his employees to be themselves and work at what they did best. He allowed me the freedom to use my creativity in what I do best, which is cooking. This was the time I got to know my son as a friend and companion not only as boss. How rewarding it felt to work alongside and support him in his endeavor in life.

The spirit of the Lord is putting out the same request to us. He wants us to get to know Him by co-laboring with Him in this open field. He will use our natural talents and add His supernatural touch to draw others into His kingdom.

Just like working with my son-he was boss, he altered my recipe yet he gave me the reigns when we finished achieving the goal. Our goal then was to produce yummy chowder while keeping the cost reasonable.

Co-laboring doesn't always mean things run smoothly. There are always times of trials that will either strength or weaken your relationship. As for my son and I, we choose to have a deeper and stronger relationship by walking through the trial together.

Right now you might have a trial such as a sickness, financial struggles, or even an emotional breakdown. You can choose what you want. The Lord is calling you to deep to deep places with Him. Get ready. Dig your roots deep within the word and watch and see what the Lord has in store for you. Promises of healing, renewing, peace and strength are there for you. Keep your eyes focused on Him. His love and peace and joy are abounding in your direction.

"Lord, today we come running to you. We know You are there performing a new thing within us. Thank You for Your peace and Your strength to make the goal a reality. The goal-a tight relationship with YOU!

Amos 3:3 NIV
Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?

1 Thessalonians 4:3 reads "For this is the will of God even your sanctification...." Let us stop right here. God not only wants us as family-as a member of His Kingdom, He wants us sanctified, made more and more into His image by changing our character flaws with His holiness.

He tells us to be holy as he is holy. I don't know about you, but I have a long way to go to become holy. It is only by remaining in Him can I achieve holiness.

"Lord make my circumstances, illness, or lack be used to sanctify me. Draw me closer unto You. Change me molding me into that holy person you created before the beginning of time. In Jesus name I pray."

Going Deeper

Some of you heard me say for twenty-on years I have lived without Crohn's disease in my body. Twenty- one years without taking any prescription meds. The Lord miraculously healed me. Now I am faced with this battle of cancer. Do I believe the Lord heals? Yes. Have I changed my belief system about healing? No. I can say I have been humbled and I have been in a position to take the Lord more seriously.

Recently I attended a women's group and experienced a slice of heaven in praise and worship and received extraordinarily powerful prayer. I was given a book and many encouraging words straight from the word of God through His loving daughters. The message that night was on guarding your heart while you rest in His peace.

Man I needed that! What about you? Is He calling you deeper? Is life overwhelming? Does calamity and chaos seem to be all around? Then take the opportunity to join me and go deeper into His Word, deeper in His Spirit, and find rest for your soul.

"Today Lord we come to you. Draw us closer to you Lord. Allow us to rest upon Your breast and receive Your everlasting peace that provides us with all we need. Quiet our souls and eliminate anxiety and frustration so we may pursue You above all! In Jesus name, Amen."

This was a Godly connection that led me to re-read our own writings and dig deeper into His word for life and strength for myself.

To Share in His Suffering

1 Peter 4:13 NIV
But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.

This is not a cop out for sickness and disease or hardship of any kind. The Lord is sovereign and He wants us healed. When you have done all you can do by praying, repenting, praising, thanksgiving and you have not been freed consider getting closer with the Lord. He is calling us neigh to Him. We should be doing the same. The ultimate sacrifice is when you can offer up the process you are going through right now. The everyday struggle with addiction or sickness or a troubled loved one.

James 4:8 NIV
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

There is a testimony of faith and faithfulness. For God is faithful and He will show us how to be also. What a small price to pay, that is, offering up our struggles to Him. When you think of what He has done for us by taking on a human form, struggling here on earth, taking ridicule, and resisting temptation all to give us a relationship with the Father, and ultimately giving of his body in the most painful way.

With that being said, Lord, I thank you for the joy it is to align myself with you. I am waiting for the day of your return. Father, take each day as an opportunity to mold me into the image of your Son. May each day be an opportunity for me to give you praise with a thankful heart knowing that the victory is in Jesus Himself.

The Preposition

It is all about the preposition! Did you ever get talked at? Talked at implies that someone is speaking their mind in a forceful abrupt manner. The person doing the talking does not want a verbal response; it is a correction given and you should listen and change. This implies that feedback is not necessary. The person is just looking for you to change and comply with them. It is almost as if they are speaking above you as a dictator and not as an equal.

Have you ever said "I will give them a good talking to."? Talking to is not quite as harsh; however, talking to someone is still considered unfriendly and it could be a word of correction or edification given with little love and affection. The person speaking may or may not want a verbal response. They are in the driver's seat and would not like getting interrupted. Consider how a teacher talks to the class; never expecting communication unless they specifically ask a question.

To talk with someone is the way to go. This is when there is an exchange of ideas and opinions, needs and desires. It is giving and taking; an interaction that causes relationships to grow with love and respect. What we have to say counts. Talking with does not mean there is not conflict at times. Yes, it can be corrective and edifying, but there is love and respect in the relationship. No one speaks down to the other. There is relationship built out of love and kindness.

This is the kind of interaction the Lord wants from us. He wants us to talk with Him, listen to Him, and interact with Him. He wants a time where our hearts connect and our spirits become one. The Lord wants to speak with us. Have you thought about your relationship with the Lord? Do you speak with Him, to Him or at Him?

Lord today we come to talk with you. We want to share our thoughts, needs, and desires with you. We want to know your thoughts and ways! We can only know you by listening to Your response. I confess that I do not always talk with you. From now on I will change my ways to be more like You. Holy Spirit, lead and guide my conversations with You so that my ways, thoughts, and desires become like Yours. In Jesus Name we pray.

Who is God?

He is perfect unadulterated Love. When we receive Jesus as Lord & Savior that love made us pure and holy. He has made His abode in us -- in me! -- in you!

When we are overflowing with His love His love gushes out through the outer man and we are able to love others. Sometime we find it difficult to accept His love. And yet, His love peals away self righteousness, shame, guilt, and sin.

I think of myself as a honey comb full of small compartments some filled with love and some with other stuff not God. As we develop our relationship with Holy Spirit He is able to replace sin, hurts, abuse, and bad habits with His perfect love that casts out all fear.

So what's the point? To know God is to love Him. As we love He shines down upon us with the heavenly glory!

By the way, Jesus made it possible for us to love Him because before we know HIm He had a plan and that included His love for us! Love makes the world go around.

So what's the point? The Lord wants to use us right where we are to love others the way he lives us!

Philippians 1:9-11 NIV
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ-to the glory and praise of God.

Romans 12:2 NIV
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Everything in our lives has value once we have found our value in Christ.

Notice that we treasure those we value. We take time to understand the nature of those we love. As we cherish our loved one (Jesus) transformation happens.

It isn't necessarily effort or time that transforms. It is the yielding and submitting to His presence that changes us inside and then out.

Transformation is the continuous and progressive change of heart that begins with the renewal of the mind.

Matthew 17:2 NIV
There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.

I am convinced! that a Christ centered life produces a Christ fruitfulness within us. This occurs with the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ within us.

What's the point? He is jealous for companionship with you and I. He wants us not in a slice of time or a compartmental portion of us. He wants all of us.

The point is that a fruit filled life; faith expressing itself through His love flowing through us. Christ in us, the hope of Glory.

What's the Point

Recently I have sought out the Lord's face and asked "What is the Point?" That same day I received a package from our daughter-in-law with a book entitled "What's the Point?"

So it began, my quiet time with Misty Edward's book. I tell you there is nothing new with God. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

However we change; our circumstances change. It is my desire through it all to become more like Him.

Today I came across a verse in scripture:

John 8:31-32 (NIV)
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Abide in the vine dear ones; abide. As you abide "in the truth" will set you free. Abide trusting and knowing His love for you and your love for Him is enough.

As I continue my quest in the Truth I pray His truth will also set you free!

Be Holy Like I Am Holy

Ephesians 4:24 (NIV)
Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Be a new person and that new person has been made like God, He does what is right and holy because he know the Truth.

Over the last few days I have been thinking about what holiness look like in my life. How can it really be holy in this weakened body of mine? My thoughts go to and fro. My tongue gets off in the wrong direction and I find myself in a poor state; not too holy. Then I begin a new thought process.

I am a new creation created and fashioned in His likeness. My Daddy, Father God's DNS in my spirit man!

"Walk in the spirit, Dianne. Walk and do not falter for this world shall fade away, but what is to come is eternal."

So I reflected on moments of holiness in my life, times of intimate communications, times of obedience to the Word, to Jesus. Times for being a partaker of His grace and partnering in His work here on earth.

"These are times of holiness. Not necessarily in the doing but in the being is essential. Be Holy, Dianne."

Without the guidance of Holy Spirit demonstrating His word in my mortal body, I would have NO holiness. That new person I became spiritually shall ease out into my mortal man.

I shall not be anxious but at peace in all things knowing He is perfecting the work He has begun in me.

In order to become holy we must:

  •   Get to know the Lord
  •   Read His word
  •   Be led by Holy Spirit
  •   Repent and be transformed in our mind then in our actions

Worship Him in spirit and in truth. You will get to know His character, His desires. Commune with Him and seek the face of the almighty.

I know I shall do more myself.

Thank you, Lord illuminating my head with Your word and Your character. Lord, I pray You continue to make me aware of your drawing presence.

Among the Remnant

Zephaniah 3:17, 20 NIV
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing." At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes," says the Lord.

As I read Zephaniah this morning anxiety began to stir. Am I like Cush, Moab, or the Ammonites? All of those were slain by the sword or burnt in fire. I pray I am among the true worshipers bringing offerings of myself; laying down my wrong doings. I pray to be among the remnant. How about you?

Pull back.

Rest and be assured of your future and rely on the Almighty to secure you to Himself and fortify your temple. I know these words are few. Ponder them for inner strength just as the general calls his troops to retreat, our Lord is calling us to "retreat".

Notice the word treat in retreat? There is always a treat involved and it can be had again and again; taking shape in different forms.

Time and Timing

Alignment with the Spirit brings us to the secret place. Time and timing are essential in life. It is more than just memorizing and repeating His Word. When the word is ingested and digested it becomes one with our mind and emotions It becomes a part of our DNA. The Word becomes a reality in the way we live out our lives.

As we open ourselves to the Lord we begin to have God experiences that cause us to hunger and thirst for more input and growth. And we move from faith to faith; from glory to glory. These experiences encourage us to continue our walk with Holy Spirit. But remember that all this takes time.

So what we do with our time is important. Begin a time journal and begin to prioritize. Be a good Stewart of your time. Remember your life is not your own it has been bought with a price.

Exodus 20:8-11 NIV
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Be reminded to keep the Sabbath rest. It is not going to church. It is that private time between you and Holt Spirit. It is a time of no work--no stimulation from the world. It is about the quiet peace and that deep inner security God gives you as you continue to delve into His presence.

When we allow ourselves to get so busy we tend to get by without communication. Communication or communion is of utmost importance in relationship. Just as husbands and wives need the art of intimacy through communion, our Father God is calling, wooing us to have that personal face-to-face with Him.

Can you hear His voice? If you haven't felt that inner nudge to go running into His Arms, enter into His rest the next time He calls. Allow the noise of activity of life to fade away as you meditate on His love and goodness.

Consecrate unto yourself your life each day, the seen an unseen. Communion is the meal that heals and fortifies body soul spirit.

He is calling. Will you answer?

Teach Our Children

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (NIV)

Cry tears of sorrow and then let Holy Spirit fill you with the joy of new life this year of resurrection power. Harkin to the bell of freedom. It is ringing in the year of jubilee. Families, set up your home altar. Teach your children how to pray a prayer of thanksgiving and praise. Teach them by pointing out God's work in their lives. Encourage them to share their life with others. It is by example they will learn best. Once you have begun this process of a family altar, it will become a natural occurrence and become part of the fabric of their lives. This will help them in hard times to come.

Celebrate your trials as victories to come. This teaches how to project God's blessings in their lives. There is a scripture written for every challenge. Find it and stand on it until it comes to pass. Our Father God's hand is in everything. He will see you through torment and catastrophe. He is waiting for the family to call out so He can use it all. Leave jealously in the Lord's hands and celebrate being liberated by His blood and compassion.

Our assignment is to love our children not to fix them. Our redeemed relationship with Christ leaves us empowered to live a life of faith. This life of ours is an awesome witness for those to emulate. Because in Christ we are justified, we can overcome the world's deceptions. So we live focused on the fruit of the Spirit, not the natural fruit in life, our children will become aware of the most valued relationships, in Jesus and one another. The new toy or new clothing is not as valued or as pleasing and praising Jesus.

There are many things we can teach our children but teaching them about eternal things outweighs those things in the world. The Bible is our written faith. But the faith we carry within our hearts is living and growing. It expresses itself through the circumstances of life and bears witness to our children.

Into Me You See!

Intimacy is a mandate from the throne room of our Lord. In order to have intimacy with Him we are to examine ourselves. Take a good look in the mirror and see yourself for who you are. The Lord already knows and He is patiently waiting for us to discipline ourselves according to His word and confess those idols we have made out of our belief systems mixed with half truths. Mixed traditions, morays of the world mixed with the Word hold us back from having an authentic relationship that He has for us.

We are called to a discipline of being in the word and confessing sin-our short comings and false teachings. These are crucial times. Remember reading the Word once is not good enough. Listening and sitting under good teachings is only a step in the right direction-and not good enough. Worship without change of heart doesn't cut it either.

Line all you know up with the Word. Cross every "T" and dot each "I". Most importantly don't force what you think to line up. I confide in a godly friend to search out the truth with me. This gives us balance and accountability.

His mercy is new each morning and His grace is sufficient to see us through. And know He is calling you to quiet time with Him. If you have not done this before begin with a few seconds then minutes. It will increase. Whatever it takes to apply His bit into your mouth so the slightest movement of the Holy Spirit will be detected and you will draw near to Him. Take a line of scripture and begin your journey of living your life in the Spirit.

We get consumed with the worlds toys-and its' drawings. We need a way to train our self to retrieve information and direction from the Spirit of God in our daily lives. We want to establish a history of the leading of the Holy Spirit. This is how we prepare for battle.

Then the implementation comes by an ever so soft voice. To hear a drop of a dime is to recognize His voice and His plan and then the appropriate delivery and implementation.

Do not take man's words as Gospel truth. Listen then line it with the Word for yourself. Judge and apply for yourself the living truth. It is impossible to have this type of intimacy with another human-even a spouse. Oh we get glimpses and specks but it is Holy Spirit who knows us better than we know ourselves.

Does this ring true to you? Check it with the Word and you shall experience what the Father has for you. Speak the word from your own lips and enter in to a safe haven with Holy Spirit. You shall realize He has called you out of the world of chaos into His rest. The infilling of peace instantaneously no matter what we are doing, where we are going or how we are affected by the world. His power will allow us to walk by Faith and not by sight.

I tell you this because as believers our mandate is to be carriers of the light, the truth and the way. Just as John cried out in the wilderness we shall chant with Him "make straight your ways" repent and be baptized. Not by water but by FIRE. And the same power will be with us that sent out the apostles to establish true believers sacrificing their lives in the baptism of blood.

Our first mandate is get in the Word receive truth and repent of untruths.

Do not waver. Be firmly placed and rooted in the Word. Stand ready to freely receive and freely give of yourself to others. You and you alone are vital to the Bride of Christ.

He is calling! Are you listening?

Father, I pray this time that you quench my spirit's hunger and thirst after you. Allow me to become transparent with you. I need to know what you see so that repentance comes clearly so that I may be a ready soldier reporting for battle knowing that I fight against powers and principalities of darkness; not flesh and blood.

God is Sovereign

But that does not mean He does not want our involvement with His work. So you might ask how do we join in with the Lord's handiwork? So I sat and thought about it and came up with these:
  1. Prayer of protection against the wiles of imagination and works of divination
  2. Prayer of thanksgiving and releasing of angelic forces around yourself and all those involved.
  3. Prayer of wisdom for all caregivers and their protection and well being
  4. Prayer for healing both physical and emotional.
Jesus spent time to withdraw from the crowds and withdraw from ministry before He entered another dimension of his journey. His ministry began when he entered his late 20s. However, there were times when he was younger when he spoke in the temple and at the marriage feast. "God the Father gave him a sense of his ministry then to help him prepare for what was to come. I believe our Father God does the same with us.

You might ask does He act upon our request and petitions. The answer is yes. The question is "Does it line up with the word and is your mind focused in on Christ Jesus? Asking for His will then we are joining in?

     5.  Pray for the abundant life here and in eternity.
     6.  Ask for the completion of the race He has set before us!
If you know the specifics, pray them through.
If not ask and they will be given to you.

Remember sovereign means He can do anything at any time using any means He chooses to bring about His plan. But with all that, let us consider His mercies that are new every morning and His grace is sufficient for us to live a victorious life!

So welcome prayer warriors to the battleground-fighting against powers and principalities of darkness. Be renewed in your body, mind and spirit. There might be some of you who are considering prayer, I suggest that you begin with these simple suggestions and ask Holy Spirit to open up the doors of opportunities and lead you into victory. Pray and then sit back and watch God work with His sovereign hand.

The Lord is calling us into relationship and I cannot think of a better way to get to know Him better. Experience His love and power firsthand in your life and in the life of your loved ones.

For you experienced prayer warriors, send in your comments and additions to share with us all. Either email them to me at or post them here on my blog.

Looking for Roots of unforgiveness and resentment

Receiving His forgiveness is easy-it is forgiving myself that takes time. Fighting my nature to hold onto grudges plays a part in forgiveness. Lord, help me to experience people for who they are in You and to over look their character flaws and pray they do the same with me! Tall order don't you think? But it is possible.

Communion with Jesus is essential to spiritual growth and new character development. I say when you feel His tugging yield and do what the Spirit is leading and He will also provide the tools that will point you in the direction of your spiritual and physical wellness.

Some tools to use could be books on prayer, devotionals like "Jesus Calling" and journaling about your walk. Each of these may lead to breakthrough. Use a journal that uses scripture for meditation and renewal of your mind. These work for me.

Sitting under the anointing whether it is worship music or teaching from the platform. For me it is important that I surround myself with people to confide in. They are those who have my best interest at heart. They are able to speak into your life and pray through circumstances with you sometimes leading you into deeper waters of intimacy with our creator.

Romans 8:5-6 To be carnal leads to death but being spiritual minded leads to life and peace.

On the onset of taking chemo I remember people praying for me in a church in Kentucky. It was there I began a new walk. I cried out "I TRUST You Lord", I TRUST You. (Proverbs 3:5-6) That fellowship with believers was awesome for me; because when I could not pray for myself they stood in the gap with Jesus and prayed the Word over my life and filled my blind spots with love and support.

Embracing the fact that cancer is a reality in my life sharpened my awareness of many things. It showed me how God has set nature in place; how each individual has been created for an extraordinary purpose and how fallible I am without the Fathers loving arms embracing me. Cancer for me is a reality; but trusting in God's plan and purpose in my life is a greater reality. He had begun a work many years ago and He will finish it. Amen! In these times of weakness He is valiant to show forth His goodness. For me I am taking this time to become more intimate with my heavenly Father and more sensitive to His ways.

Years back there was a great move of God in Lakeland FL. I had the privilege of attending some of the meetings and to bring others to experience a new facet of God.

I am not a person who goes out looking for a buzz of God or to hear an ear tickling word. I am looking to deepen my awareness, my love and my intimacy with the Lord. I know I grow as I experience Him more in my life. Sometimes those experiences propel me into places I need to grow into. Sometimes it is confirmation of what the Lord has already shown me. And other times it is an ouch, I need to change.

We all know that new beginnings start with forgiveness. Sometimes after the forgiveness we all need to walk through the consequences. And forgiveness for God is a onetime forever thing but for us sometimes it is layers of letting go and letting God in to fill every area with love and acceptance.

Our past should never be boasted about with pride. Our past is simply our history that can help free others from their sin as well. Holy Spirit will help us walk in such humility that others will be freed from their past as well. The shame and blame is gone in the shed blood of Jesus. To embrace our past is just one way the Lord can use us. It is our past that helped mold who we are today. We are forgiven and set free to be used as a tool to free others! Are you ready to be used?

Father, today I pray you loosen those chains of unforgiveness and resentment we carry in our lives. Bring us to another place of freedom. A place where I am molded and shaped into your image, a place to be able to set the captives free. In Jesus Name

He Never Sleeps

Holy Spirit never sleeps; He never is idle. He is always on guard and working in our lives.

Yes, even when we don't commune with Him He is actively setting up the plan, clearing paths and arranging for the time of intimacy with you and I.

Have you ever noticed a time in your life when you think you've got it all together and are handling things just fine and you don't even communion with Him? Then suddenly you hit a wall, fall in a pit, and you cry "Father, help me!"

Well, Holy Spirit has already planned a way out. All we need to do is reach out to Him. He has already provided provision.

Just as we wait upon the Lord, He waits upon us! What a good God we serve; what a marvelous gift Jesus provided for us. What a wonder. What a joy it is to serve such a mighty, most caring, and most loving God.

Gird Your Loins

The other day I was speaking to our daughter about the armor of God and how important it is for us to apply and wear the armor. Today I will not talk about the armor but about a revelation I had as I was listening to a message.

John 13: 3-15 describes how the Lord took off his outer garments and girded himself with a towel then proceeded to wash the apostles' feet.

Notice he took off his outer garments-just as we take off self in preparation of becoming more like Jesus. I could not help but relate the armor of God with the towel. Jesus girded his loins with, the appropriate cloth for the task at hand... this reminds me to wash myself with the Word of God for strength, edification, encouragement, and to prepare for the tasks at hand. Just as Jesus made himself ready so must we.

Serving our purpose goes beyond any offence and goes beyond the offender. There is great value in serving. Serving uplifts and upholds the Kingdom of God and is destructive to the enemy and his territory of darkness. I just love to serve. That is I love to entertain and cook for others. I like to dress a nice looking table and serve different yet great meals. For me serving is something I can offer. whether it is in the food department, prayer department, or by just being a friend. I believe when people get together it is like opening up a treasure chest. They present themselves to me and I to them. What a treasured gift they become to me. It is a process to realize our purpose is to serve and share; to pray and wait expecting God to move. Being a blessing to another is a purpose God has placed within each of us. The way we carry that out is the special treasure He has given us.

You might even say when we share our lives it is like disclosing hidden manna to another. This only happens when we are inclusive and transparent. God can use us to sow seed and to establish the Kingdom of God within them. However, our preparation is essential. We must trust in the Lord with all our might and our mind. We must be rooted and grounded in the Word of God, building up our inner man. And be firmly embedded in the Kingdom of God meaning showing the fruits of righteous, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

We must not take the body of Christ for granted. Find a place to worship and a place where there are men and women who have the same ideals as you. When you are accomplishing these you will find your purpose and you will begin to walk. Steady as she goes, shouts the captain of a ship. I would say "Humble as you go. (Philippians 4:2).

Jesus always pulled himself from the crowds so He could pray to the Father and listen for the next instruction obtaining more power from the throne room. If it was good for Jesus, it is doubly good for us!. Sometimes it takes much prayer to look beyond our foolish pride and our circumstances. Humility is a source of strength. If we can humble ourselves in the Lord's presence; He will always lift us up. Titles are not important to the Lord. Listening and obeying are on top of His list. This takes practice and time on our part.

"Today is a new day. Help me Lord to stay close to you so I can become the servant You want me to be. May I become more humble in Your sight and be an instrument that shines Your light. The big issue is for me to be able to look beyond circumstances and see Your loving arms outstretched over your children. And Lord, don't allow my foolish pride to get in the way of your power source that can reach others. In Jesus name I pray."

His grace can only work through our humility; that is letting go of our self and allowing God to work it all out. Humble yourself in the site of the Lord and He will lift you up.

Then our faith is in place by believing. Faith a decision to believe-if you will. He will provide-Grace-Wisdom and Knowledge we need for living. It is His grace that allows us to the other side of our challenges, pain and yes our every day circumstances

What an exciting life of faith, linked with obedience-all things are possible. Where faith is activated fear is released. We then can live in another realm and become water walkers like Peter.

Have you ever taken for granted a person or a community or organization? I have taken my husband for granted. I just expect him to take care of my medical, physical and financial needs. Tall order wouldn't you say? After listening to pastor speak on servant hood, I was gently convicted by the words Holy Spirit ignited in pastor's talk. What a wonderful gift my servant husband really is. See, I was choosing my desires not giving any regard to what the Lord has provided me through my husband.

Tell you what...when I let go of myself and see how faithful and loving my 'servant' husband is I am able to release "self'. You and I can grab hold of God's Grace and never turning our backs on His faithfulness.

I came to an understanding that I am not the most important individual on this planet. However, God's plan and purpose for me is! How is your understanding of His Grace, His will and His faithfulness in your life?

Our God can never fail. He proves Himself time and time again. As for myself, I see His grace at work in the manner I am living through adversity and I see His grace working in my husband. How he cares, prays and watches over my every need.

Today trust is easy when all you can see is the Lord's marvelous intervention in our lives.

Lord I pray this day for Your power to cause us hope in you. Lord cause our Trust in you to grow. Turn us into water walkers, full of faith in you. Let there be more of you in us and less of self. In Jesus Name.

PS: Embrace your brokenness of sickness weakness and of emotional hurts, etc. When we do we can look up into the Loving eyes of God and declare "Your grace is sufficient for me and Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Therefore, embrace your weakness and boast about the Christ's power that resides in us all. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Ever had to wait...?

Waiting in line
Waiting at the Doctors office
Waiting for a server at the restaurant
Waiting to be seated
Waiting for someone to pick you up
Waiting to be waited on

You can probably think of other times or places you have had to wait. How about waiting for your wife to finish getting ready to leave the house? Good one!

Well, waiting is not my strong suit. When I want something or get a certain thing in my mind I want the result pronto. I just expect poof it is done; it is here! Well maybe I am not all that bad, but pretty close. Sooner is better than latter in my book. How about you?

Psalm 27: 14 NIV
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Thank God waiting on Him is so different to me. Waiting on God is exciting and filled with serendipities and mixed with His love and pleasures. Waiting on God is inspiring and fulfilling. It is when the unexpected and impossible happens.

Don't get me wrong, there were and are times when I get restless. But then, I realize I have taken my eyes off God and on the natural circumstances.

The flesh is not where it is at. It is the spirit, our spiritual nature that prevails and is most important. When our focus becomes clear the flesh or natural man catches up with what God has already done!

Life is an exciting journey filled with beautiful sites and wonderfully made people and perfect circumstances. Yes, even the most tragic thing can be a wonderful blessing. People are made in His image and likeness; just like the mountains and seas they can take our breath away in awe-The Lord Himself can captivate our souls.

If you have ever been desperate you might have said a pray like Hezekiah said when he found out his death was imminent.

Isaiah 38:2,3 NASB
Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the LORD, and said, "Remember now, O LORD, I beseech Thee, how I have walked before Thee in truth and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in Thy sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

How we can learn to wait? By TRUSTING God alone. No man or situation is too great for God. No man or thing can take God's place.

Is that enough? No, we must REJECT all things, people, or places that are not of God. We should not look to our resources first. We should look toward Holy Spirit to lead us to the correct resources. We need to trust in the Lords leading and His competence above all else.

Then PRAY. Stop all your planning, thinking and stop talking to all who will listen. Just go to God. Talk to Him. This is how I do it; it is a two part prayer.

1. Ask God to remember you. If you believe that your horrendous circumstances are true go to God with your petition.
2. Rehearse your life with God. As Him to show you where you fell short. Then repent and go forward. Celebrate your devastating times and your great achievements with Him.

Then wait for a response. And He will respond. He is a God that never fails. He is a God who uses all life encounters to protect, strengthen, redirect and recommit ourselves to Him.

Hezekiah came through and the Lord saw to it to add fifteen years to his life. The Lord is waiting on your entrance to the throne room so He can extend to you a gift of life that will bear witness to the world in which you live. Hezekiah wrote a poem of thanks. You might want to write yours now and celebrate the great things God is about to do. (Isaiah 38: 9-20) It will take you from rags to riches, from sickness to health, from loneness to community. He is ready, are you?

Josephs Coat

Joseph's promise is the fulfillment of God's promise to you. Joseph carried a promise of greatness. He dreamed of greatness and rulership, victory, and influence. His brothers sold him and as a result destroyed their own future because of their jealousy.

Joseph represents that prophetic voice to your family and your source of influence. Don't sell your source of greatness, your future. Don't attempt to destroy that voice within that carries positive messages and a bright future.

This voice that came to destroy, that breeds unbelief and rage within you also tries to spread doubt and destroy your influence. Joseph was thrown into a pit to prevent him from being a powerful person in others lives.

So if you feel you were thrown into the pit, keep seeking His face because you will bring people out of slavery into a place of kingship. Remember what happened to Joseph?

When Israel sold their brother they lost the prophetic voice to Egypt. They were Kings turned to slaves.

Some brothers and sisters in the Lord have sold rejected the gifts the Lord has placed in you. Yet, the Lord will place you in Egypt (the world) and they will benefit from your gifts and your presence just like Egypt benefited from Joseph. Then, your Christian family will recognize your Godly gifts to the body.

2013 is a year of greatness. It is our year of acceleration and of spiritual growth. This is a year of advancement in His Kingdom and progressive steps being taken by you with His unmerited favor and empowerment (GRACE).

Let us embrace the promise of greatness and of influence. Let us set the captives free by joining in what the Spirit has begun.

Monday, March 11, 2013

I have noticed lately some venom spewing from my mouth. I have become snippy. My words have a sharp edge to them. I have been judging with a sense of righteousness that is creeping and flowing through my flesh. Pointing the finger and blaming others is totally living in the flesh and NOT of God.

Unfortunately those who are closest to me-my husband-gets the tongue lashing, he does not deserve. If you find yourself in this place, please pray with me knowing the first step is recognition-admission of sin and that now is the time of letting go.

Holy Spirit used a girlfriend of mine to convict me. If Holy Spirit is convicting you do not hesitate; pray with me saying:

"Lord I come running to your throne room of mercy-forgiveness and grace-your unmerited favor and your empowerment to rise above my emotions. I sit and wait at your feet abiding in Your love and being infused with your transformation power that only you can give. Thank you Lord for setting me free from judgments as I release those judgments I have passed onto others. Create in me a new heart of joy, peace, and edification. Now I wait and ask 'Lord, what do you have for me?' Amen."

Take this time to journal what the Lord is whispering in your heart. If you like, share it with me and other friends and watch the Lord set the captives free.

A Word of the Lord

"Before the beginning of time I have set a course if you will; a path for you to walk. This path is made for no other. It is a path of great joys and great sorrows. It is a path of great growth and celebrations. A path with failures that strengthen you and pain that builds endurance and persistence. Much confidence is your portion. Count it all joy for this path will bring about renewal and healing.

"I have prepared time of communion with you on this path and special communion with others. So embrace what awaits you. Embrace in anticipation of my presence and expect the supernatural expression of my Love to be evident in your life and the lives of others you touch. Grace and Mercy is your portion. For there will be times I will sweep you off your feet and bring you to sit on my lap. There you will gain perspective and live in a dimension above all odds and all destructive circumstances.

"You shall be called blessed among many in the world. Some of the church may take offence because of the unmerited favor you have with me. Do not let jealously, envy, or greed enter your domain. Instead remain focused and live your life in Christ Jesus.

"I tell you these things to encourage you in times of trials and in time of testing. For my love overrides all the world and you shall reign and rule with me in heavenly places! "

The Old Has Passed Away

Worship from the depths of your soul. In thanksgiving we approach the throne room of grace. With a contrite heart we extend our lives to you O God; for there is none like you. No one person can provide or profess their loving kindness the way you do.

Through trials and adversities we come to express our gratitude and receive your joy-- Our walk is strengthened and our angry hearts desires are put to rest in Your abiding Love.

Today I lay it all at your feet--Lord--wanting to be molded into the woman you called me to be.

Experiencing--pain--grief draws me closer to you, Lord. You have sent many to support me. Praise your name. Prayers--deeds and friendships has been extended from around the world. Your mighty hand is upon me and all those who call out your name. My loved ones family members and friends are experiencing your marvelous touch. It is You changing hearts and mending relationships

There is nothing like Your Love--Power-- Peace and Inner Joy to bring about the workings of the Holy Spirit. Today, Lord we pray for more mercy for those times of doubt and restlessness. In those times of doubt and anxiety we reach up to touch YOUR Peace. You are bringing about a new man, a new woman, proclaiming YOUR Name and YOUR workings throughout the land. Amen. The old has passed away and the new has arrived!

What About Eight

Before I get into what I believe to be of the Lord, I want you to know this. Sometimes the Lord will give me a picture, or a word, a number or even the spoken word from another. When I latch onto that thing, I allow Holy Spirit to lead me into what I believe He would like to reveal to us all--Me included!

1 John 5:4 "For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith."

With a new life, a revived life in Christ, there are New Beginnings. The number 8 means new beginnings. In this time Peace will override the stress and the worry and disasters in life. Tranquility will be evident in your life. Peace of the Lord transcends all understanding. There will be more and more fruit in your life while you are in the midst of taking territory in your New Beginning. There will be no lack of love and more of wisdom that flows directly from the throne room of Peace. In John 8 there is talk about putting on our new nature. Liberally strip the man of flesh that fights the spirit man. We must subdue the flesh and live in the SPIRIT

Shame, blame, and false witness will be erased. Our Father will eradicate our false synthetic peace and replace it with His authentic Peace. No longer will our sin come back to haunt us. We will be set free.

Our History, our Past becomes the platform for us to witness to others. It will be as if we are speaking of another person. And we will be, because the old me and you no longer exists. Shame and Pride has no hook on me or you. Judgments on people will be replaced with loving suggestions of change.

The spirit of Jesus came to earth and walked a figure 8 to set forth a covenant with Abram when he was resting in the spirit. He was laying in a trance while the Spirit of Jesus was walking the pattern. Just as we become new so was Abram. The Lord changed his name to give us the type and shadow of one being saved. Knowing that, you realize that 8 is the recognition of Jesus, Lord and Savior.

God knew Abram could not keep the covenant in his own strength. That is why the spirit of Jesus in the form of a man came and walked the covenant, the figure 8, with Abram and made it with Himself also.

If you know anything about ham radio, 88 is used in Morse code to mean love and kisses. Dick and I used to talk over the repeater and send 88s to each other all the time. It is the Lord who loved us so deeply that He gave His life so we could have eternity with Him. Well the kisses part is easy. It is all the promises Jesus gives us. Just reach out and ask. Go to the word and grab hold of your promised kiss today.

Break the habits of sin, fear, worry, and generational sin. The Father is waiting for you to apply His son's blood to every situation so you will be set FREE. He will guide you and help you look past the faults and contradictions of the past. You decide to break the generational curses and He will set you free into a new life. Be realistic. Balance your present life and believe in your future. See things thru the eyes of Jesus. Ask Holy Spirit to have you see others in the same light Jesus does. As we begin to walk in the spirit by faith, Holy Spirit will cut through all oppressive atmosphere and He will bring forth substantial results in your physical bodies.

So 88 It is the love of Christ that allowed Jesus to go to the cross and as He embraced His purpose in life Jesus opens the Doors of promises to us all in Christ.

Jesus truly paid the price for our sin so that we may reap eternal peace, physical healing, and communion with the Father.

Recently it was shared with me that 888 means to be set free from the curse of bondage! Come on now people; Truth always prevails. That is what I am talking about. Let us begin today with New Beginnings in this New Year! Let the Lord create a new man or woman in YOU! Realizing the price was paid with Jesus' shed blood the law was satisfied; never again do we need to sacrifice with the blood of animals or give love offerings of those same animals. In our lives once and for all it is finished so that the Father see's us thru the blood of Jesus allowing us to be intimate with the Father.

Joseph is a picture of what God gives to us to put on. (Genesis 37:3) God is a God of color, of diversity, of beauty, and of brightness. He takes us beyond the place of grey and dullness calling us to dream beyond ourselves into a place that overflows and affects others. Just as Joseph had the dream that God had given him, he also had to overcome many things to see those dreams come to pass. Remember, nothing is too hard for the Lord. I say NOTHING.

Okay Folks, now if you could follow along with my 8s, let us pray together: "Heavenly Father we love you, we offer our lives up to you and we give you our time, talents as well as our transgressions! Thank you Jesus for setting us free and Holy Spirit for keeping us placed and mounted on the rock of our Salvation. Thanks for leading the way to the chief cornerstone--Jesus. May we also be pointers to the way, the truth, and the life you have to offer all mankind. In Jesus name we pray.

I Choose Abundant Life

Another late night of thanksgiving. I send prayers of love and rejoicing for those intercessors who stand in the gab for people like me; those who share in the call with our chief intercessor and cornerstone of my life--Jesus the Christ. With much joy I surrender to the joy He has released in my life. The protective custody He has placed me in. It is a place of peace--healing and refreshing. It is here that my heart rejoices in the victory. Our heavenly Father is the Alpha and Omega--the beginning and the end. He alone has preordained my life and it is my choice to embrace this life with its trials and tribulations.

It is there I am stretched and am able to exude and bask in His tender loving arms. When it rains saints--it rains on all. We live in a fallen world, yes? The only thing different is that we are believers who choose life or death--we choose to embrace the cross or run with regret and anger in our hearts.

I choose abundant life. I choose to be a witness to His grace and mercy. I choose to live and not die. Today is the day that the Lord had made, so let us all be glad and rejoice in it.

Tonight I pray for grace--mercy --and His strong embrace to touch and empower my brothers and sisters in Christ. Over flow with joy exuding in Your love to a dying world. Lord I ask for boldness to fall upon us as we walk in the world. Let us speak in faith about your tender love luring others to the cross. In my brother and friend's name--Jesus above all other names--we pray, Amen.

Boy I am convicted. I can be so judgmental and critical; just have a hard time seeing through other's eyes. This is how Holy Spirit convicted me.

As most of you know I am lagging behind in the health department these days and Dick has the burden / responsibility--including cleaning, cooking and laundry. A sign of getting well is that I begin to see lack in those areas. Or maybe I should say the abundance of sticky counters and spotted floors, cluttered counters, need I say more. I do want to say that Dick is doing a marvelous job. He is constantly caring for my medical, personal needs, and caring for our home. He just does not stop. He is cleaning and caring to the best of his abilities and that is great. Of course he does not see with my eyes and he does not accomplish tasks in the same manner I do.

Needless to say, I began to judge him and criticize his momentous efforts. Then Holy Spirit asked me what my prospective was. He told me to try seeing out of Dick's eyes. Better still, I should see through "My eyes". WOW; slam dunk. My heart sank and I repented. But I continue on this same path. The old man just does not want to change that is why I must wash my mind with the Word of the Lord. Then I realized I judge myself and criticize myself also. Sometimes I can be so sin minded. How about you?

Gee I am so bad, always making mistakes and hurting others. What a sinner I am. We are so fortunate that Jesus and our heavenly Father does not see us that way and neither should we. We should keep our eyes on the cross, on the blood of Jesus. Thinking how we are wonderfully made in His image and likeness pure and righteous are we in Christ Jesus.

So today we pray. "Lord allow me to forgive myself as I know you have forgiven me. Bring me to the place of peace where I can experience your presence, your loving power, and your pure righteousness. Allow me to see through your eyes Lord and through the eyes of the ones around me. Keep me from judging and criticizing others including myself." In Jesus name I pray. -- dianne

Our Journey is the Destination!

Just think about that! It is our journey that helps mold and develop our character. Sometimes we are so goal focused that we miss the supernatural works all around us.

Our journey is the destination, a phrase that I heard recently from a missionary family!

When we first came to Florida last November a dear friend of mine ministered to me about living in the moment; a moment in time. She said, "Live in the moment". There is no need for doing--just being. Just being can be a powerful witness to those around us. I found that as I focused on the moment the Lord was able to carry me through the next and the next. That is what the Lord wants from all--to live in the moment in Him so He may guide and direct every step.

We are all powerless unless we apply TRUTH to our lives. Now if we live out of our human minds the truth is natural and factual or carnal if you will. It is the morality of the day and is law. However, when we live our lives in the Word of God we can apply His truth to our daily moment by moment walks.

It really does not matter how many times we fail. It matters that we are walking and living in His presence--allowing the lord to pick us up so we can carry on. Sometimes He has to carry us to the next place. Now that is TRUTH!

Today we come boldly to the throne of grace and allow the Lord to take control, asking Him for His Truth to mold us through these life circumstances we find ourselves in. Yes, we are powerless Lord without you and your grace. And Yes Lord, we know you are lenient with us because of our humanity. In Jesus name, keep us focused to live by the moment!

A New Year

Well it is a new year. And I am began with a triple dose of chemo. Awesome visit with the doctor who was full of good news, even to his surprise. My heart just sores and shouts. Thank you Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit for leading and guiding and performing a miracle in my life in my body and in my spirit.

I am very thankful for all of you who are praying for me; standing in the gap with our chief intercessor, Jesus. Thank you prayer warriors, friends, family, and even those whom I do not know who are praying for a miraculous intervention from our Lord.

This is going to be a very progressive year. A year of reconciling to the Lord and reconciling families. The body of Christ will take on a new demeanor. Get ready, keep on your knees and most importantly live life moment by moment in the Spirit of the Lord. We will be a witness to those we are not even aware of.

Get ready to shed the weight you have been carrying and trade it for the presence of Holy Spirit. As for me I have had to shed some hair, some rotten attitudes, and perceptions for the glory and wisdom of the Lord. Get ready to let the professionals handle their jobs, do what you can, and leave the rest to the Lord.

This is a year of letting go and letting God. For man can only do what they know but it is the Lord that performs the miraculous. The Lord is going to perform amazing works in many physically and spiritually.

I trust that the Lord is completing the work He has begun in each of us. We just need to be still and see life as He does. We need to open your minds to possibilities and open our hearts to the Spirit. He is near and waiting for an invite in!

Blessings for a wonderfully loved filled New Year. May your hearts be filled with JOY. dianne
